Active / Passive Forms

Sentences can be active or passive. Therefore, tenses also have "active forms" and "passive forms." You must learn to recognize the difference to successfully speak English.

Active Form

In active sentences, the thing doing the action is the subject of the sentence and the thing receiving the action is the object. Most sentences are active.

[Thing doing action] + [verb] + [thing receiving action]

Examples:

Passive Form

In passive sentences, the thing receiving the action is the subject of the sentence and the thing doing the action is optionally included near the end of the sentence. You can use the passive form if you think that the thing receiving the action is more important or should be emphasized. You can also use the passive form if you do not know who is doing the action or if you do not want to mention who is doing the action.

[Thing receiving action] + [be] + [past participle of verb] + [by] + [thing doing action]

Simple Future will	Someone will finish the work by 5:00 PM.	The work will be finished by 5:00 PM.
Simple Future be going to	Sally is going to make a beautiful dinner tonight.	A beautiful dinner is going to be made by Sally tonight.
Future Continuous will	At 8:00 PM tonight, John will be washing the dishes.	At 8:00 PM tonight, the dishes will be being washed by John.
Future Continuous be going to	At 8:00 PM tonight, John is going to be washing the dishes.	At 8:00 PM tonight, the dishes are going to be being washed by John.
Future Perfect will	They will have completed the project before the deadline.	The project will have been completed before the deadline.

My Hobbies

Before i share my hobby, i would like to introduce myself. My name is Nita Ratnasari, i am a college student in Gunadarma University, in economic Faculty majoring accounting. Now i am in the sixth semester. In this semester i have many courses, such as English Business 2. In that class we must write in English and my first task is to write my hobby. I live with my aunt, because my parent live in Karawang. Well this essay is mostly going to be about my favorite  hobbies I like to do. I did most of my hobbies was when I am bored, or when I just feel like doing something or in my spare time. Some of my favorite hobbies is making handicrafts, make an accessories, and listen music.  So I am going to start this essay with art.

My first favorite hobby is making handicrafts. I don't just do crafts when I am bored, I do it whenever I feel like it. I do different types of things like pots, flowers made from straw, pillows, and whatever I think it's cute and that matches with my room. The reason I do this is because I like to something art, not like drawing but crafts. My mom inspired me to do this because they were always creative with all kinds of stuff. My mom was always creative everytime.

My second favorite hobby is making accessories. I choose it as my second favorite because I don't pretty much do a lot of accessories. Another reason is because I do it when I am bored or I don't have anything to do. Sometimes I make an accessories to help my cousin when she is having a homework. 
I like to make accessories because I think it makes me more fashionable. I like to do  necklaces, bracelets, and more. So that is why I chose it as my second favorite hobby.

My third favorite hobby is listening music. I enjoy listening music, because it helps me to relax. I listen it in every single day. If I am in good mood, I prefer to listen some pop musics. It always charges me power and good mood. If I am tired, I choose to listen instrumental music. Music is a universal language, it always says you something, you just have to feel it, understand it. Through music people can express feelings and emotions, it some sort of voice or speech. When you hear something that looks like you, that you understand it, you start to love it.

Now those are the reasons I choose them as my favorite hobbies. They are my favorite hobbies. I think make handicrafts,listening  music and make accessories are cool and important to me because they help me live longer and feel the happiness every single day. In conclusion, I advice you to find your hobby that you like to do, do it for best, and may be in future your hobby turn to your main job. It will be pleasure to do something that you love.
